Boyles C8C is the most powerful rig in the Boyles range and yet easy to operate. This rig has a new feed system that further improves the high productivity that has become a key characteristic of the Boyles rigs. Boyles C8C has a depth capacity of 2 013 m (N size). The newly designed level-wind wireline winch rolls the wire evenly across the full width of the drum. The work environment around the rig has been carefully considered during development. All major components are located to allow easy access during maintenance. In order to control carbon emissions, the rig features a modern Tier III engine. The Boyles C8C rig is ideal for deep borehole depths, and despite its power, it is compact in design and easy to operate in the field. Designed for sturdiness and operation in harsh environments, the Boyles C8C rig just goes on and on without interruption, thus minimizing service requirements. Boyles C8C is designed with safety in mind, minimizing the risk of personal injury during operation.

How it all started with the demolition equipment

Welcome to Deconstruction, Recycling & Earthmoving at Epiroc, the company which invented the hydraulic breaker under the Krupp brand. When it was patented in 1963, the hydraulic breaker was the first hydraulically driven tool to be attached to a hydraulic excavator and it brought a completely new dimension to the capabilities of hydraulic excavators.

Excavator attachments

The excavator became a universal tool carrier, which resulted in a much higher level of machine utilization and efficiency, bringing these advantages in turn to our customers. So it all started with the hydraulic breaker and Epiroc’s knowhow in this field is unique. Our innovations in breaker technology over the years speak for themselves: Combined Gas/Oil technology, the Solid Body concept, breakers without side bolts, AutoControl, and so on. But it hasn’t stopped there … since then many other excavator have been added to the well-known Epiroc product family we call Hydraulic Attachment Tools.

Each excavator attachment enables our customers to meet different challenges on demolition jobsites, in recycling applications, in the mines or quarries. All these tasks which require robust, powerful tools which could not be handled with an excavator and a bucket alone.

Thus, the attachment tools determine the versatility of the customer’s tool carrier. Over the years hydraulic attachment tools have become an essential part of mechanized tasks in most applications.
